Somatic Experiencing®
In my practice, I utilize Somatic Experiencing to help clients process the fight, flight, and freeze responses that often become stuck in the body as a result of traumatic experiences. This approach allows clients to safely access and release these incomplete physiological responses, which, due to a lack of safety during the original events, were never fully processed. By creating and holding a supportive, non-judgmental space, I enable my clients to reconnect with their bodies, allowing them to complete these responses and move toward a deeper sense of healing and restoration.

In this work, you will learn to build a relationship with and listen to the parts of yourself that have been disconnected from you to keep you alive and safe. You get to understand how your nervous system has kept you safe, and to tap into the resources held in your body. You get to build an understanding of the adaptations your body made for you , and notice how that gets to change as you have and continue to build more safety in your life.
Through my training in Somatic Experiencing, I have developed the skills to work with near-death experiences and medical trauma, specifically through "The Eye of the Needle" training. I have also completed syndromes training, which focuses on addressing stuck patterns in the nervous system that present as various syndromes. Additionally, the "Aggression, Depression, and Life Force" training has provided me with a deeper and more nuanced understanding of working with emotions such as depression, rage, and the untapped resources held in the nervous system, enhancing my ability to support clients in their healing processes.
